THE 120 CHALLENGE

11 April – 24 May 2026 | Presented by ILoveBoobies Charity

1. About The 120 Challenge

What is The 120 Challenge?

The 120 Challenge is a six-week virtual running and walking challenge taking place from 11 April to 24 May 2026.

Participants complete 120km over six weeks, at their own pace, anywhere in the world.

The challenge launches on race weekend of the Two Oceans Marathon and concludes on race weekend of the Cape Town Marathon — keeping you motivated right through peak running season.

Every kilometre logged helps fund free breast cancer education and screenings for women from underserved communities in South Africa.

Where is it happening?

Anywhere in the world.

Road, trail, treadmill, promenade, park, neighbourhood loop — it all counts.

Who can take part?

Anyone with an email address and cell phone number (one unique email address per entry).

There’s no age limit.
There’s no speed requirement.
There’s only consistency.

Sponsors

ILoveBoobies | ButtaNutt | USN | Sox Footwear | Essence Cosmetics | Garmin | Cetaphil | HOKA | Goodr | JBL

2. Entry & What You Get

What is the entry fee?

R550 - Your entry includes:

  • A curated 120 Challenge goody bag, shipped to you (free in South Africa) (limited to the first 5000 entrants)
  • Great products added by our legendary sponsors
  • Digital race management & kilometre tracking
  • Entry into surprise prize drops throughout the challenge
  • Most importantly: a donation toward a free breast cancer screening

Can I join the challenge after it has started?

Yes!

You can join The 120 Challenge at any time during the event period between 11 April and 24 May 2026.

Your goal remains the same: complete 120km before the challenge closes.

Some participants start on day one.
Others join halfway through for an extra push of motivation.

Whether you run, walk, or mix the two — every kilometre counts and every entry supports a breast cancer screening.

If you discover the challenge late, don’t worry — just lace up and start moving.

You will still receive your goody bag and full access to your Race Profile and prize draws.

3. Tracking Your Challenge

How do I track my kilometres?

On 10 April 2026, you will receive your Personal Race Profile link via SMS and email.

Important: the email address used for entry becomes your login.

Your Race Profile allows you to:

  1. Log into your profile
  2. Track your accumulated kilometres
  3. Upload activities after each session
  4. Upload a weekly or cumulative total
  5. View progress toward your 120km goal
  6. Unlock milestone recognition
  7. Download your digital finisher certificate (available after 26 May)

Do I need a Garmin or smartwatch?

No — but it makes tracking easier.

Garmin, Strava, Apple Fitness or Google Fit are great tools to record your distance.
You will manually upload your totals into your Race Profile.

Is this linked to Strava?

Yes — join the ILoveBoobies 120 Challenge Strava Club to share motivation, photos and community energy.

Note: Strava does not automatically upload to your race profile. You must log your results manually.

4. Prizes & Surprise Drops

How does prize giving work?

This is a fun, engagement-driven event with lucky draw prizes only.

No podiums.
No pressure.
Just participation and community.

The incredible prizes are sponsored by ILoveBoobies and our partners.

The only condition: you must be actively participating and logging kilometres.

Surprise Prize Drops

We run surprise prize drops every few days during the challenge.

It could be you — so keep your phone nearby.

• Winners are randomly selected
• We call you (or sometimes surprise you in person)
• Your reaction will be filmed
• We share the moment on social media with the sponsoring brand

What can I win?

• R25,000 in cash giveaways
• Sponsor prizes from USN, Sox, ButtaNutt, Cetaphil, Garmin, HOKA, Goodr, JBL
• ILoveBoobies merchandise

5. Planning Your 120km

120km over six weeks equals approximately 20km per week.

Here are a few ideas:

  • 3 runs per week of about 7km
  • 5km, 5km, 10km weekly
  • 4km per weekday
  • Two longer weekend runs plus one short recovery jog
  • Daily 3km walks
  • You get the picture.

Small, consistent efforts add up to something powerful.

Important: all in-person events also count.
