Our Medical and Diagnostic Partners
BEHIND EVERY SCREENING IS A TEAM THAT CARES.

Early detection is important. But early detection without access to further investigation is not enough.
At ILoveBoobies, our mission is to provide free breast health education and clinical screenings to underserved women living in communities in need.
When one of our nurses identifies something that requires further investigation, a woman's journey doesn't end with us. In many ways, it is just beginning.
And that is where our extraordinary medical partners step in.

FROM SCREENING TO ANSWERS
Every woman we screen deserves more than an examination. She deserves to know what happens next.
When an abnormality is identified, our team coordinates the necessary referrals, working closely with our radiology and pathology partners to provide access to further diagnostic investigations.
This may include an ultrasound, mammogram or biopsy, depending on the clinical findings.
For women who might otherwise face significant financial and practical barriers to accessing these services, this support is invaluable.
Our partners contribute their specialist expertise, facilities, technology and resources to help us turn a screening into something far more meaningful: answers.

OUR RADIOLOGY PARTNERS
Helping us see what we cannot feel.
A clinical breast examination is an important first step, but not every abnormality can be understood through examination alone.
Our radiology partners provide the specialist imaging needed to investigate concerning findings, helping determine whether further testing is necessary.
Their contribution goes beyond medical imaging. They help women access diagnostic services that might otherwise be out of reach.

OUR PATHOLOGY PARTNER
Behind every diagnosis is an answer that matters.
When a biopsy is required, the next critical step happens behind the laboratory doors.
Our pathology partner, PathCare, plays an essential role in helping establish an accurate diagnosis through the examination and analysis of tissue samples.
This is highly specialised work, carried out by dedicated professionals whose expertise helps doctors understand what they are dealing with and determine the appropriate next steps.
PathCare's ongoing support of our biopsy and diagnostic pathway makes an enormous difference to the women we serve.
It is a partnership we are exceptionally proud of.
OUR MEDICAL LEAD
Dr Andre Truter
Guiding the journey from screening to diagnosis.
Behind every referral is a woman waiting for answers.
Dr Andre Truter plays a vital role in the ILoveBoobies screening programme, providing medical oversight and guidance throughout the diagnostic process.
Working alongside our nursing team, radiology partners and PathCare, he helps ensure that clinical findings are appropriately investigated, diagnostic results are reviewed and women requiring further care are guided towards the next steps.
His commitment to our programme brings an invaluable layer of medical expertise, continuity and reassurance to the women we serve.
We are exceptionally grateful for his dedication, his time and the important role he plays in helping us deliver a screening programme that goes beyond early detection.
Because identifying an abnormality is only the beginning. Helping a woman get answers is what truly matters.

THE IMPACT OF WORKING TOGETHER
18,065 women screened.
1,145 women referred for further diagnostic investigation.
Behind these numbers are real women, families and communities. Women who have taken the first step towards understanding their breast health, and women who have needed additional care.
Our medical partners make it possible for us to support women beyond that first examination.
Because identifying a potential problem is only meaningful when we can help a woman find out what it means.
MORE THAN PARTNERS. PART OF OUR PURPOSE.
We believe that access to breast health services should not be determined by a woman's income or circumstances.
To every radiologist, pathologist, radiographer, laboratory professional, administrator and medical team member who contributes to this journey: thank you.
Your work may happen away from the spotlight, but your impact reaches far beyond the consulting room or laboratory.
Together, we are making early detection and access to diagnosis a reality for more women in South Africa.
