Our trained breast health nurses create a safe, private environment where women can ask questions, learn about breast awareness and understand what changes to look out for. Every woman is treated with dignity, compassion and respect, regardless of her age or background.

The screening itself is a clinical breast examination performed by one of our qualified nurses. The examination usually takes only a few minutes and involves checking both breasts and the surrounding lymph node areas for any unusual changes.

In most cases, women leave with reassurance and a better understanding of their own breast health.

Occasionally, however, our nurses identify something that requires further investigation.

This is an important distinction.

A referral is not a diagnosis.

Many breast lumps and changes are completely benign, but they deserve further investigation to make sure nothing serious is overlooked.

When a woman is referred, ILoveBoobies works closely with trusted radiology partners who perform diagnostic mammograms and ultrasound examinations. If imaging suggests additional investigation is needed, further tests such as biopsies may be arranged before a specialist confirms a diagnosis.

Throughout this journey, our team remains involved, helping women navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming process.

Since launching our screening programme, ILoveBoobies has screened more than 15,700 women across South Africa.

Of those women, more than 700 have been referred for further medical investigation.

Many of those referrals have resulted in early diagnoses—giving women the opportunity to begin treatment before the disease has progressed.
